2. Use of Tables
When you create a large or graphics (JPEG/GIF) intensive page, its a good idea to section your webpage into section encapsulated within tables. On loading, the web browser attempts to first load all the tables and then the contents of the tables - this way if you have large graphic files, the web browser will not get stuck downloading these files, while the user waits in vain.
3. Professional style
There is a difference between a website for a professional service provider and artist - don't fall into the trap of jazzing up a website with music, excessive flash and other creative to stand out from your competitiors - better to stay conventional and beat the competition with quality of text and ease of its presentation.
