Database population combined with intelligent data extraction - extracting data from the CAD drawings and data entry into the web application.

We got instuction on how to extract data from the CAD drawings and used engineers (not data entry technicians) to perfrom the task of intelligent data extraction. We then used the data entry technicians to populate the database with the data for the web application. The whole process was done in four separate phases -
